Privacy Policy
Effective November 4, 2026
Who we are
Freeway, LLC, an Arizona limited liability company (“Freeway,” “we,” “us”), operates the Freeway platform for candidates, employers, ecosystem partners, and administrators. This policy describes the personal information we collect, why we use it, and the choices you have. It is part of the Terms of Service. Creating an account is acceptance of this policy and of those terms.
We are based in Phoenix, Arizona. Contact us at privacy@freeway.app.
Information we collect
What we collect depends on how you use the platform. We collect the following.
Every account. Your name, email address, and the account identifier from our sign-in provider. You set a password with that provider. We do not store the password ourselves. We also keep the role on the account, and records of actions you take in the product, such as invitations you send or settings you change.
Candidates. The résumé you upload and the text we extract from it; work history, skills, and the summary of your experience; contact details you add, such as a phone number, a LinkedIn address, and a location; roles you signal interest in; match results; recommendations you request or receive; and, if you turn it on, a public networking profile (name, title, location, and bio) and a personal QR code. If you register for an event, we may receive your name, email, and registration details from the event host’s registration tool.
Employers. Your name and work email as the company’s representative; the company profile, such as name, site, industry, location, and logo; job descriptions and postings you provide or that we draft from material you provide; and notes and decisions you record about candidates who have signaled interest.
Ecosystem partners. Your organization profile. If you turn on job seeking, we collect the same kinds of information we collect from candidates.
Administrators. The account information above, plus the operational actions you take, including invitations and the record that a company agreed to the separate employer terms.
From use of the site. Sign-in session data, and a small number of first-party cookies described below. We do not collect payment-card numbers. The platform does not sell anything at account creation.
Artificial intelligence
We use artificial intelligence to perform tasks, not to train a model of our own. The tasks are: parsing a résumé; summarizing personal experience and work history; parsing a job description; creating a job posting; and matching jobs to job seekers, including judging how a job fits a job seeker.
To perform a task we send the relevant content — for example the résumé, the summary, or the job description — to Anthropic, our AI provider. We do not use your content to train Freeway’s own models. Our agreement with Anthropic does not permit Anthropic to train its models on content we send through its API.
Output can be wrong. The Terms of Service require you to review it before you rely on it or publish it. A match is a tool for the people deciding. It is not a hiring decision and it is not a verification of credentials.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Create and secure your account.
- Run the tasks listed above, including matching a job seeker to a job.
- Show a candidate to a company after the candidate signals interest in one of that company’s roles.
- Operate networking, events, recommendations, and notifications.
- Send transactional email about activity on your account.
- Keep the Services secure, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot.
- Comply with law and respond to lawful requests.
- Understand aggregate use of the product so we can operate it. We do not use your content to train foundation models.
Service providers
These providers process information for us, and only for the purpose stated:
- Clerk, for accounts, sign-in, and sessions.
- Supabase, for the database that stores platform data.
- Anthropic, for the artificial-intelligence tasks described above.
- Resend, for email we send about the Services.
- Luma, for event registration when an event uses it. Luma receives the registration information that event collects.
Retention
We keep personal information while your account is open and as needed to provide the Services. After you ask us to delete the account, we delete or de-identify that information, unless we need to keep a record for security, to resolve a dispute, to comply with law, or because a separate written agreement requires us to keep a record of an introduction. Backups expire on their ordinary cycle.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect personal information, including access controls on the database and a sign-in provider for credentials. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure. Please use a unique password and tell us if you believe your account has been compromised.
Your choices and rights
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you may ask us to close your account. Email privacy@freeway.app. We will take steps to verify that the request comes from you, or from someone authorized to act for you. We will respond within the time the applicable law requires. There is no self-serve deletion control in the product today.
Residents of states that grant privacy rights, including California, can make those requests. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is no sale or share to opt out of. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows it. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to that decision. You may also contact your state attorney general.
We are a United States company in Arizona. We have not appointed a representative in the European Union or the United Kingdom. If you contact us from outside the United States, we will honor the request to the extent the law that applies to us requires it. Submitting information to us, and using the Services, involves processing in the United States.
Transactional email is part of the Services. You can use the controls in your account for notifications the product lets you turn off. A message we must send to operate your account, such as a security or sign-in message, is not a marketing list.
Children
The Services are not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will delete it. Email privacy@freeway.app if you believe that has happened.
Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page and change the effective date. If a change is material, we will also give notice by email or in the product when we have a way to reach you. Creating an account, and continuing to use the Services after the new effective date, is acceptance of the updated policy.
